How to Do a Subcutaneous Injection
- 1Wash your hands thoroughly
- 2Draw up prescribed dose in syringe (E.g 0.2ml is 20 units)
- 3Clean injection site with alcohol swab
- 4Pinch a fold of skin on your abdomen or thigh
- 5Insert needle at 45–90 degree angle
- 6Inject medication slowly and steadily
- 7Remove needle and apply gentle pressure
- 8Dispose of needle in sharps container
Peptide Pen Instructions
- 1Remove pen cap and attach a new needle
- 2Prime the pen by dialling 2 units and pressing
- 3Dial your prescribed dose (E.g 0.2ml is 20 units)
- 4Clean injection site with alcohol swab
- 5Insert needle into skin at 90 degrees
- 6Press the dose button fully and hold for 10 seconds
- 7Remove needle and dispose safely
How to Do an Intramuscular Injection
- 1Wash your hands thoroughly
- 2Draw up the prescribed dose in a syringe (E.g 0.2ml is 20 units)
- 3Clean injection site (outer thigh or glute)
- 4Stretch skin taut at injection site
- 5Insert needle at 90 degree angle firmly
- 6Inject medication slowly
- 7Remove needle and apply pressure with gauze
- 8Dispose of needle in sharps container
